Stare at the Stars from Far View Lodge
One of the questions I’m most often asked about my job is “where should I stay…” and I often reply with a “as close to the action as you can get.” Well, you can’t get much closer to the Mesa Verde experience than the Far View Lodge, a stay arranged by our Go Ahead tour. Rustic, neo-retro rooms overlooking canyons, valleys and peaks set the stage for a day of exploring what is truly one of America’s most spectacular – and spectacularly underrated – national parks. Tucked deep into the park itself, Far View is only 3 miles from Cliff Palace and 2 miles from the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum. It’s also awfully close to the stars, in case you were wondering.

Flash Parker traveled on Go Ahead’s U.S. National Parks tour as part of AFAR’s partnership with the United States Tour Operator Association (USTOA), whose members provide travelers with unparalleled access, insider knowledge, and peace-of-mind to destinations across the globe.
