Board a Florida Airboat and Fly Through the Everglades
While in Ft. Lauderdale board a breezy airboat and participate in a fun wildlife drive along back roads into “Big Cypress Preserve,” the 780,000-acre national park. The Florida Everglades is primarily a fresh-water area and home to a vast array of plant and animal life. The big draw: alligators—lots of alligators—that are awesome up close.
Don't worry about danger though, each tour comes with a well-educated, highly trained, naturalist guide. The boat cruise takes you into the Ten Thousand Islands mangrove forest in Everglades National Park, a beautiful display of Florida's natural flora and fauna.
The walking tour includes a scenic nature walk under a green canopy of towering bald cypress. You'll feel as if you're in the Amazon when surrounded by native and tropical wildlife.
Pair a delicious lunch of crunchy alligator appetizers with assorted dipping sauces and a cold beer pre/post tour.
End the day with an adventurous wildlife drive through the pine savannahs and cypress forests of Big Cypress National Preserve.
