Ernie's Tin Bar
Need a break from wine? In between Petaluma and Sonoma is a little corrugated metal structure that you might pass by without even noticing. After driving by in the afternoon and seeing rows of cars and trucks parked outside, curiosity got the best of us and we decided to stop venture inside. I was surprised to find that Ernie's Tin Bar has an impressive list of craft beer on tap, which was a welcome change from sampling wine all day. Ernie and his bartenders are happy to share their beer knowledge and make recommendations, and Ernie always has a few card tricks up his sleeve (literally) to entertain. Big bowls of peanuts sit on the bar, and visitors and locals happily chat while cracking shells and tasting something new. This is a fun, eclectic atmosphere - plan to drink a few pints and hear some crazy stories from the locals. At the time of writing this, Ernie's has a shuttle that will go as far as 15 mins from the bar; an offer well worth taking up, as there are too many great beer selections to choose from!
