I love people and I love taking pictures of people, especially when I travel. I think you can learn so much about a country and its culture through the people.
On this particular outing, I found myself in the tiny, touristy town of Suchitoto, just north of San Salvador. Boasting four upscale, boutique hotels, there are more tourists here than locals.
I found it quite odd how this village made its way on the tourist map. It appears as if someone just threw darts and decided Suchitoto was it! To be fair, the place is in a beautiful spot over-looking a beautiful lake. The pace is still slow, but almost everything caters to the hotel crowd.
Nonetheless, I found many smiling faces as I walked about town. None was so stunning as this one of a young girl tending the family tienda. The colorful items behind just help to accentuate her sweet smile.
