Goat-Cheese Croquets, Moroccan Wine, and Music at El Morocco Club
Across from La Maison Blanche sits Tangier’s best restaurant. Modern, stylish, and always lively, El Morocco Club offers sophisticated takes on traditional dishes. About half the menu is designed by Morocco’s most celebrated contemporary chef, the Paul Bucose–trained Meryem Cherkaoui. Try the goat-cheese croquets with candied pears or the red sea bream on a bed of Jerusalem artichoke cream and porcini mushrooms. First, though, have a plate of oysters raised in the crystalline waters off the southern Sahara and a glass of Moroccan wine in the downstairs piano bar. Or end the night there with cocktails and music.
