This authentic Texas barbecue joint has brought a lot of smoke to hip Barrio Italia. Pioneered by native Texans Michelle Letelier and Blane Taylor, the space in a traditional home has a huge patio, perfect for gorging on meat and beer. The meat-centric menu includes traditional sides but also some that have been tweaked for Chilean palates like grilled cole slaw with avocado-rice vinegar dressing. Besides beef, you can chow down on smoked brisket, grilled chicken, sausages and even a single order of hanger steak. Wash down with some artisan beers or on the weekend, join them for one of the capital’s coolest brunch scenes.
