When I discovered Earth Bloor West, I could not resist. Fresh Greek salad, cool gazpacho, flavorful risotto, and rich desserts made it a meal to remember. I am glad my city is starting to take the impact of local business seriously. Making a move to eat more local foods is a step in the right direction.
I love when restaurants try to localize their business, but being unemployed and low on cash makes culinary adventures difficult. For anyone traveling to Toronto in July, there is a promotion called ‘Summerlicious’ happening. It’s when restaurants create cheap, set menus to promote their food. (Each year, Toronto has two food festivals, Summerlicious—typically in July—and Winterlicious—usually in February.)
