Music and Murals in Belfast
Belfast is famous for its murals, most notably the politically themed paintings representing partisan Loyalist/Unionist and Republican/Nationalist interests carried over from The Troubles. But the city is a music and soccer town, as well, and in just this small section of one of the several murals in Commercial Court off Donegal Street in the Cathedral Quarter, you can spot footballers George Best and Pat Jennings, rockers Phil Lynott, Sinead O'Connor, and Gary Moore, and traditional musicians Phil Coulter and Derek Bell. Multilingual tour guide Lynn Corken, @LCorken, can organize tours and walks to see street art of every stripe, as well as other sites, throughout Northern Ireland.
