Dougan Falls is one of more than a half dozen swimming holes along the Washougal River in southern Washington, about a half hour drive from Portland, OR. Dougan Falls is particularly memorable for the cluster of beautiful waterfalls (taller than they look) that cascade into a deep blue pool. You can either leap off a rock or gently wade in. Early and late in the summer, know that the water can be chilly!
These spots are off the beaten path and crowds are unusual. Catch it before it's cool!
