Diving at Directors Bay and Beacon Point

Curaçao

The diving in Curaçao is among the best in the Caribbean, and the island’s numerous dive operators rent all the equipment you’ll need and can arrange for guides to accompany adventurers out on the water. The most spectacular sites accessible from Willemstad are Directors Bay (so named because it was once a private beach for Shell company directors), with its sponge- and coral-covered poles as well as its vertical wall that drops 30 meters (100 feet), and Beacon Point, famous for stunning pillar coral formations and large species of fish like barracuda and grouper.
