Eat Haggis in the Home of the Original Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
The story goes that William Brodie, a skilled and respected artisan, was secretly a part-time burglar who used his stealings to fuel a gambling habit and manage his 2 mistresses and 5 children. His namesake pub, located on the Royal Mile, may seem like a tourist trap (and perhaps it is), but the menu prices are reasonable and the whisky sauce can't be beat! Order the haggis or the chicken pie.
However, beware if the locals suggest this spot: it will sound like they're saying "Dick n' Brodies," which really just leaves you wondering.
