Dutch Food Served in an Old Townhouse
Eethuis De Suikertuin (Sugar Garden) is named for the sugar loving 'buiki heel' (yellow belly) birds that dip in and out of the back patio. It's a charming place for breakfast and lunch, that serves up good, local, dutch-influenced fare.

Indonesian-style nasi goreng (fried rice with eggs, vegetables and satay), and a home-made apple pie are the specialties here. Salads were delicious, too, especially during the very hot days, along with an ice-cold 'chill', Aruba's local beer.

>>>Warm thanks to the Aruba Tourism Authority for a wonderful welcome to 'One Happy Island' and to my lovely new friends at the Boardwalk Small Hotel Aruba for accommodation in one of their amazing casitas!
