This cultural center is the pulse of Amman's contemporary art scene, with a program of rolling exhibitions taking place throughout the year.
Take a stroll through the manicured garden, speckled with modern art. It's a tranquil spot to unwind and contemplate the cityscape views. The lower half of the grounds is also home to the remains of the Byzantine era Church of St George. Whether you're into modern art or not, the main building, which hosts the center's art exhibitions, is a grand example of Amman's early-20th-century villa architecture and is worth a visit. It was once owned by the British commander of the Arab Legion and can count TE Lawrence as one of its former guests.
