Brews so good, you'll return (surprisingly) often.
I visited this tap room for the first time just a few weeks ago seeking the famed Chocolate Milk Stout. (I have since returned three times.) Dangerous Man Brewing is located inside of a historic building, yet is surprisingly airy and modern. Many of the original elements are still intact and local artwork lines the walls to give it a funky, lived-in feel.
In the middle of the room are long communal tables for large groups, while high-tops line the perimeter for smaller circles. Their chalkboard menu lists six or seven beers available in a tulip or English pint, but I generally beeline for the Chocolate Milk Stout. The taste is slightly sweet and chocolatey, and oh so drinkable. Without fail, I proceed to make animal noises the entire time I drink my beer – it's that good.
The crowd is what you would expect for a NE Minneapolis establishment - eclectic, friendly, a little artsy, but not intimidating. The bar staff makes working behind the bar seem fun. The location is very bike friendly, especially if you want to grab a bite afterward or head over to another bar in the area. You can also bring in your own food since they don’t sell anything but delicious, delicious beer and legitimately cool merchandise.
My friends and I meet here weekly and catch up over pints. Life could be worse.
