Crom Castle

Picturesque country house & ruins
Fermanagh has been a favourite holiday destination of my family for years and the Crom Estate, situated on the banks of Upper Lough Erne and run by the National Trust, is somewhere we always like to head to. The "new" castle is a striking piece of Victorian architecture but, as kids, we only ever had eyes for the ruins of the "old" castle and the incredible plantation of yew trees (among the oldest in Ireland and perfect for hide & seek).
