When we stayed at UGA for a while in Costa Rica, we took a stop at this lady's house, and she taught us how to make these desserts called Arepas. I have eaten Arepas before, but Venezuelan style. Meaning, that they were more like a meal rather than a dessert. So I thought that was cool but weird. How we made it wasn't as different from the ones I make but, some ingredients were more for like a pastry. Anyways, after we made the dough and made small balls of it, they put it on this pan and flipped them around, kind of like pancakes. When they were all cooked we took our first bites and OMG, it was BEAUTIFUL. We all probably ate AT LEAST more than three. :P <3
