This limestone castle on a bluff in Central Kansas has a working fireplace and stone tables inside - creating the perfect atmosphere for a medieval feast. (Don't forget your harpsichord!)
The surrounding park has a number of stone grills and picnic tables that look out over the valley. We went there at sunset and it was magical.
The whole park was built in the 1930's by the Works Progress Administration - so the workmanship is solid. A unique and enchanting spot in the middle of Kansas.
