Travelers come to Cips Club to enjoy dinner with a striking view of Venice and Piazza San Marco in the distance. And dinner, when you can secure a table here, is very good. Again, much of that has to do with the view.
I prefer Cips Club for fancy drinks because you can watch the sun set over the city and it's not yet impossible to find some where to sit. Six in the evening for an aperitif is my favorite time to come here, and there is a boat from San Marco that ferries guests over to Hotel Cipriani. From there you can walk through the hotel on to the waterside terrace of Cips Club and watch the boats troll up and down the waterfront.
The wine list is exceptional, and they make a mean bellini and spritzer, plus some very tasty snacks. Mind you, everything is fantastically expensive, but then that's the price you pay for a table at Cips.
