Alongside Buddhism, Islam and Christianity thrive in Kadeejeen, exemplified by Bang Luang Mosque and Santa Cruz Church. Muslim residents built Bang Luang in 1877, and claim that their mosque is the only one that reflects traditional Thai style. Santa Cruz Church, on the other hand, has lived through many aesthetic incarnations. The latest iteration, dating from 1916, reflects Portuguese influences.
