With three food carts strategically parked downtown at major arteries (8th and Main, 10th and Main, and 12th and Main) these carts are a hot lunch spot for the business folks. For $5.75 I got the Creamy Shrimp and Pasta Salad (vinegar + dill shrimp salad with carrots and peas), plus two sides (I chose marinated cukes + country coleslaw), plus a piece of French bread. $5.75 for all that. And, the portions were bigger than I anticipated. In that little plastic box they crammed in more food than I could stomach. I was a big fan of the pasta and cukes, but have to say I was disappointed by the coleslaw. It was dry and flavorless. (I prefer my coleslaw sopping wet and well-seasoned.) Also, you can get one of the pasta salads with a wedge of cheese and piece of French bread for $4.25. Pastas are fettuccine, feta cheese and tomato; penne in pesto sauce with green beans; rotini and veggies in dijon dressing; and sesame pasta.
