Chinatown

Its narrow alleys lined with teahouses and hawker stalls, Singapore's walkable Chinatown is extremely well-preserved and authentic. On the pedestrianized Pagoda Street, the Chinatown Heritage Centre, which was revamped in 2016, is made up of three old shophouses whose displays reflect local life as it was in the 1950s. With gold-leaf and bright doors, the Temple of Heavenly Happiness was built in the 1800s to bring sailors good fortune.
