As I walked the path at the Indian RiverSide Park in Jensen Beach, I watched the children running and playing on the small beach. I saw others laughing as they ran in and out of the fountain at the water park.
I sat at a pavilion and enjoyed the scene. The day was warm and sunny. Everyone was cheerful and excited.
I walked over to the Children's Museum which is a short distance from the fountain. This museum is a popular attraction at the Park.
The museum has inter-active exhibits where children and their families learn as they explore the different hands-on activities offered.
A favorite exhibit is the Town Market where the little ones play grocery shoppers or the store clerk. The cashier dons an apron, gets play money, and works the register.
Another favorite is Vet Clinic where the child acts as the vet and cares for ill pets ( stuffed toys).
The Car Clinic offers an opportunity to be the mechanic and change the tires and oil.
Toddler Beach is great for babies and toddlers.
At the Children's Theater fairy tales are acted out as kiddies don costumes.
The huge replica of a 16th c. galleon is popular with children of all ages who imagine sailing the high seas.
There is an inter-active train exhibit controlled by the children who are the conductors.
At the Post Office mail is picked up and delivered.
There is also a small gift shop that children visit.
I really look forward to visiting with little children as they love to go and always ask to return.
