Romantic Log Cabin Near Cheddar Gorge
Who knew Somerset could be so romantic? My wife and I fell in love with the area when we visited friends a few years ago and were dying to return ever since. Finding a log cabin was easy at Tor Farm and we were thrilled with the dreamy setting. Complete with private hot tub and heated swimming pool, Meadow View Log Cabin at Tor Farm is luxurious and modern. It's a large space, perfect for a big family but also cosy enough for two. Close to Cheddar Gorge and Longleat Safari Park, it’s the ideal location to get back in touch with nature. On day one, we explored the area and enjoyed the rural backdrop from our front terrace. The weather was fantastic so we had a barbeque in the late afternoon and enjoyed the glorious sunset with a bottle of wine. Day two was a little more action-packed as we took to Gough’s Cave at Cheddar Gorge. After an exhilarating caving session for two, we had a candle-lit dinner at Riverside Inn Restaurant, which is just down the road from the gorge. We finished off the evening with a relaxing stroll by our log cabin and a few drinks. On our last day we made the most of our cabin by enjoying a dip in the pool and relaxing in our private hot tub. The hot tub is fully screened from other guests in neighbouring cabins so there’s plenty of privacy for couples. Travel Tip: for the ultimate couple’s pamper weekend, be sure to speak to the owners at Tor Farm about holistic beauty and spa treatments available from the comfort of your private log cabin.
