If you like to wander by foot, or are looking to shed a few pounds in the hot summer heat, the historic town of Charleston that stretches on for miles could help in your most desperate time of need! This was my first visit into the 'ole burg and I was pleasantly surprised with the charisma that flooded through the streets. Although this trip was thought up just one night prior while awaiting in our Savannah hotel, it was spontaneity at its finest! Even though I don't consider myself the religious type, had I stayed in town just one more day, I would have woken up Sunday morning to get an inside look at St. Philip's church. This astounding building had me standing in astonishment as I glanced from afar. Past the church, like an endless credit roll, local shops, bars and restaurants line the brick roads; if you're looking for something a little more ritzy, you'll be sure to find high end retailers down Meeting St., along with this old fashioned movie theater (pictured above). It doesn't matter what type of person you are or how old you may be, stepping foot into this town is like be casted into to your favorite classic movie!
