In an old fish-storage warehouse right on the Canal Royal, the Centre Régional d’Art Contemporain Languedoc-Roussillon, established in 1997, rivals any big-city contemporary art museum. With a research center and fine gift shop/bookstore, CRAC devotes two floors of space to more than 500 leading artists in its permanent collection and also hosts major temporary exhibitions that draw followers of the art scene from all over the world.
