Sail across the clear waters of the Caribbean in your own mini catamaran. On a calm day you can see the reef below where giant sea turtles and hammerhead sharks play.
If speed is more your thing, rent a jet ski for an hour. Of course, you might want to remember the sharks when you fall off after jumping the frothy waves.
If you like sharks and are thinking of getting up close and personal, go scuba diving. The reef is just out your front door. You'll float through coral forests and spy on schools of yellow snapper, brilliant silver and yellow striped fish.
NOTE: Only one hammerhead was actually spotted here recently. That and a few small bull sharks
If the air is more to your liking, para-sail up into the clear Mexican sky and get a birds eye view of the jungle along the Maya coastline and the deep deep sea just a half mile off shore.
Or if fishing is your thing, go deep sea just a half mile off shore in five hundred feet of water and reel in barracuda and mahi-mahi. The chef will cook it in the traditional Maya style for you.
Catalonia Yucatán Beach is an adventure lovers playground.
Tip: Even though this hotel is all-inclusive, you are walking distance to dolphin pools, restaurants and shopping in the gated community of Puerto Aventuras. Rent a golf cart. It's a great way to get around.
