Casino de Monte-Carlo
A golden crown of Belle Époque architecture, the notorious Casino de Monte-Carlo was an overnight success since its opening in the late 19th century. Like Bond, guests can order their martinis shaken, not stirred as they indulge in European or English roulette, black jack, craps or slot machines. Passports are required for entrance, as the local Monégasques are prohibited from playing. Salons open at 2 p.m. and those wearing shorts or sandals will be turned away.
