The menu here has a Spanish influence (the owners met in Barcelona), with dishes such as patatas bravas and crema catalana. The look is both chic and rustic: brick walls, leather studded sofas, and two patios for alfresco dining.

Intimate Bistro for Long, Lazy Lunch in Barrio Italia
Tucked away off Av. Italia in the heart of a burgeoning neighborhood, this intimate bistro doesn't look like much from the street. Inside, it opens with high ceilings and checkered floors. While you peruse the menu, sip a (large!) pisco sour. Owned by a young couple (he's the chef), the food is unpretentious and changes seasonally. In the past, wild mushroom risotto with a touch of truffle oil was divine with an earthy Syrah from the Limarí valley. Or go the tapas route and order small plates to sip and nibble. Perfect spot to refuel while visiting art galleries and antique dealers in the neighborhood.
