Barcelona has Gaudi. Mexico City has Siqueiros. Nashville has Jairo Prado, a Colombian native who has called Music City USA home for almost 30 years and who created our city's newest public art masterpiece and landmark. "Migration," a 30-foot by 12-foot mosaic (a la Gaudi) mural (a la Siqueiros) includes more than 7,000 pieces of hand-cut tile and involved 300 community volunteers in its making. "Migration" is the crowning jewel of the nonprofit Casa Azafrán Community Center, located at the gateway to Nashville's International District.
