Carib Territory Crafts

The indigenous Kalinago people who live in the Carib Territory, across the island from Roseau, are known for the baskets they weave from flexible larouma reeds. Visitors can shop for these and other crafts, such as pottery, hanging coconut-shell planters, carved calabash decorations and mats and hats made from vetiver grass. The best souvenir: coconut cassava bread (so delicious it won't last long).
