As might be expected, accommodations are generous in size, with each guestroom featuring a master bedroom, a living room, and a private terrace with its own plunge pool. Decor features tiled floors, dark wood furniture, and local handwoven crafts as accents. Included in the room fee is a range of personal services and amenities, from standards like Wi-Fi and nightly turndown service to more coveted benefits such as a personal assistant who provides individualized concierge services. There are lots of common spaces in the hotel for guests to enjoy, among them an open-air lobby and a library, where drinks and snacks are served nightly. Two pools, an award-winning spa, and three restaurants round out what's on offer here.

Neighborhood Vibe
Capella Ixtapa is named after Ixtapa, the town where it's located. Ixtapa enjoys a unique climate and gorgeous mountain and sea views thanks to its placement between the Sierra Madre mountains, visible in the background, and the Pacific Ocean. Ixtapa, which is adjacent to Zihuatanejo, is the newer of the two towns, and is a planned community that caters primarily to travelers. Zihuatanejo is the more historic Mexican town, with a central plaza, traditional food market, and colorfully painted homes on cobblestone streets. Visitors love walking along the Paseo del Pescador, where fishermen sell their fresh catch. The hotel offers an orientation tour of the two towns for guests who want to explore off-property, and it can coordinate numerous other excursions; thanks to the Pacific location, numerous marine-oriented activities include snorkeling, diving, and deep-sea fishing.
