Military cemeteries are always reflective places for remembering the cost of war. This one is unique. It is the German Military Cemetery located within the Cannock Chase National Forest in central England. Gathered here are war dead from WWI & II which were previously buried in sites around England - many who were aviators who had been buried close to where they died during the wars. The German War Graves Commission oversaw the reinterment and dedication of this memorial cemetery for almost 5,000 Germans and Austrians. Those who were once enemies are now friends and allies, and I feel it is appropriate to commemorate the past conflict to provide a reminder to not allow it to happen again.
