Cannery Line
The cannery line, a Rube Goldberg–worthy machine, sliced, diced, packed and sealed salmon by the ton for shipping south—the only salmon most people outside the Pacific Northwest knew. Everything at the cannery, from bunkhouse to administration office, was built to serve the line. Icy Strait Point even began to make its own cans, which allowed it to run the line with hardly a pause.
