Between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, is a Ghost Town in the Mojave Desert. Located off I-15 and Ghost Town Road, on Calico Hill, are the remains of a remote Western mining town. $20 million in Silver was mined here in the late 1800's. There are a few original buildings, including a School where miners sent their children while they worked. Calico even has its own cemetery, hosting haunted graveyard tours and Halloween events. Have homemade pie at the Cafe, on wooden deck overlooking the Desert. Wander Main Street and walk into History, visiting houses set back in time, with 1800's furniture, tools and Photo exhibits.
