This café is the embodiment of tradition and style, equivalent to Gamberini in Bologna. The classy wood boarding, beautiful decoration, and staff in traditional dress transport you back to the old days.
You have to pay first at the cashier (which can cause confusion for tourists), before getting your pastry at the pastry counter and then your coffee at the coffee bar. (Not knowing this can make you feel like the staff are making a fool out of you). If you take your cappuccino at the bar (al banco), you pay the same price you do everywhere.
Alongside the excellent cappuccino and the decent pastry, you get a wonderful view: you´re standing right in front of the Duomo!
