If you find yourself in Reykjavik wondering what do, there's one sure bet for dinner and entertainment—Cafe Rosenberg. It's like the Cheers of Reykjavik. The place where everybody comes to know your name, and you always feel at home.
The proprietor, Doddi, is a true friend of the music scene and has hosted many a budding rockstar on his stage. He runs the restaurant and provides the stage and sound system, but the musicians take 100% of the door. The first monday of every month is Blues Night.
The menu is all made fresh, using local ingredients. If you can't stay for the music, which starts at 9 pm weekdays and 10 on weekends, just leave before it starts and avoid the cover charge.
