The mission of Cafe Bernardo is to provide good, if not fancy, food made from fresh ingredients in a casual atmosphere. Lunch and dinner include salads, sandwiches, pizzettas, and entrees, and for breakfast, don't miss well-loved staples like French toast and Eggs Bernardo. The baked items are also fantastic—don't miss the cupcake of the month!—and include fresh-baked bread delivered every day from the nearby bakery. Everything is made completely from scratch, including turkey sausage, pastas, pizza dough, mayonnaise, and all sauces. You can also feel good that the protein comes from local farms; for instance, the eggs come from Vega Farms where hens lay eggs in nests, and the eggs are delivered to the restaurant within 36 hours.
Cafe Bernardo is dog-friendly. Dogs who sit with customers on the patio get a homemade organic biscuit and a bowl of water.
