The National Folk Festival was held in Butte, Montana from 2008-2010 with the intention of helping Butte create its own locally grown festival to be held annually. Butte now holds the Butte Folk Festival every July and it has turned into a full weekend of great music, local food vendors and traditional folk art.
Butte is the perfect place to hold the state's folk festival - rich in history and often not the destination one might think of while visiting Montana, Butte is its own little gem. Contra dancing? Jazz? Bluegrass?
See you at the festival!
