One of my favorite activities when I travel is to visit grocery stores and even malls for a better look at the pop culture of a new country. Sure, the traditional sites are great, but there is no better way to quickly learn about the habits of a country than to see how it shops. The Breeze Center was Taipei’s first ‘American-style’ shopping center, and today it features stores, entertainment options, and restaurants. A great way to eat affordably but still get classic food is to browse the food court. There’s no Auntie Anne’s here; instead, expect to find regional favorites on the go.
