One of my favorite things to eat in Belgium is Flemish stew, a Flanders region specialty. I eat at Brasserie T'Stropke every time I am in Gent. Many restaurants offer it in Flanders but somehow I like it more here. The presentation is great and it comes with Belgian frites and caramelized apples which I love. The meet is slowly cooked until it's so tender that it melts in your mouth. The brasserie has very low food prices, it's clean, fast service, and I adore the inside decorations. It has a lot of character.
During summer or warmer days in winter, you can sit outside and have a perfect view of Gravensteen fortress, one of the main attractions in Gent. The Brasserie T'Stropke is a restaurant that should be given strong a consideration if you are looking for cheap and delicious Flemish food.
