Located on Kuto Peninsula close to the island’s police station, and two minutes on foot from the landing jetty, Boutique Créations Île des Pins is a colorful and inviting place to find local souvenirs and handicrafts. Set up by friendly owners Cleo and Albert a couple of decades ago, it has an established track record of selling quality hand-painted sarongs and T-shirts as well as postcards and books about the island (including some about the history of the convict settlement). In the same garden spot, a neighboring stall sells jewelry and carvings with New Caledonian motifs.
