While touring the Kotowa coffee farm in Boquete, we came upon some Ngobe children playing in a nearby stream and waved at them as they splashed around. Later on the tour, we came upon our new, curious friends following us. We had fun taking pictures of each other and showing them back on our camera.
The Ngobe tribe is one of the biggest ethnic groups in Panama. Families often migrate to the coffee farms during harvest season to earn additional wages. Kotowa provides seasonal housing to its employees and school to their kids so that both parents can work during the day to make additional income.
