There’s an attitude in Lodi of “We can do anything here” – and they do when it comes to wine making. Not only is the area known for Zinfandales, but they are also known for being experimental. Bokisch Vineyards is one of those experimenting with Spanish and French varietals. I talked with Bokisch winemaker, Elise, as she poured glasses of Albariño and Tempranillo for tasting. Vineyard owners Liz and Markus lived and worked in Spanish wine industry and brought their learnings to Lodi in the Clements Hills. Stop in for a tasting at the simple tasting room and you’ll be transported to another country.
