The Bodrum Underwater Archaeology museum, on the seashore in southern Turkey is built on the ruins of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The sights of the sea from the museum are amazing. The sights inside the museum are very much less so. It has confusing signage, untended exhibits. Pigeons, and all that comes with them, were roosting on one exhibit - the picture above was in a case coated in dust. It was just kind of a mess. I usually love and am pretty understanding of museums, but this was not a good one.
Bodrum, however, was lovely. The seashore was gorgeous, the people were friendly, the shops and galleries were cool. Go, take pictures, wander, have a great time. Skip the museum.
