Unique dining in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego
Bo-beau's is a unique little restaurant because it's been created to look like a French cottage. The ambiance alone is worth a visit! The food is really good- they cooked my salmon just right and the creamed spinach was very light. The brined pork chop was incredibly tender. You have to try the almond crusted portabella mushrooms (pictured here)- they were fantastic!
Great place to go for dinner after a long day at any one of the nearby beaches or to sit down after walking around Sea World (also nearby) with the kids all day.
Tips: The small parking lot can seem difficult to maneuver, I recommend driving to the little city park next door and just park in the lot there. Also, Bo-beau's doesn't take reservations, if you're going on a weekend- get there early, around 5-ish. Otherwise you're going to be standing around for a while waiting for a table. Inside is good seating, but if you want a quieter meal, request an outside seat near the wood burning fireplace. They will even provide blankets for the guests who get chilly.
