Beautiful Beach at Bill Baggs Cape

The beach at Florida’s Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park has been rated one of the 10 best beaches in the US—and it’s open to everyone. Great sand, a restaurant, and plenty of picnic spots, plus miles of beach to walk along. To get to the park from downtown Miami, take the Rickenbacker Causeway through Key Biscayne to the end of Crandon Boulevard. Once you’re in the park, pull out your beach towels and do your best relaxing!

Mystery of light

Have a taste for puzzles? According to legend the 1825 lighthouse on the tip of Key Biscayne and end of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, is the US tip of the Bermuda Triangle. For the skeptics, there are exhibits on the role of lighthouses in the Keys and on the restoration of the lighthouse. Tours of the lighthouse and the keeper’s cabin are available Thursday through Monday. If you dare, you can ignore the signs and walk on the rocks in the triangle itself!

It doesn’t matter if you catch anything

Fishing is serious business in Miami, and who wouldn’t want to work with a view of sunset and Stiltsville? And what if you could grill your catch right there on your lunch break?
