The Beauty of Night in Big Bend
Known as one of the best places not only in Texas, but in all of North America, for stargazing, the night sky in Big Bend National Park is one of the things that makes it truly special. In this vast mountain and desert wilderness (inhabited by a sparse population), there is less light pollution than any other national park in the lower 48 states. On any given night, about 2,000 stars can be seen in the ebony night sky—which makes Big Bend National Park an ideal spot for your next camping trip.
