We trek deep into the wilderness, along the northwestern border of Tibet on this high-elevation expedition to Chomolhari, Laya, and Gasa, an area where few Westerners have ever been. Our adventurous nature deserves these unrivaled rewards: the wildly beautiful Laya people, the fecund subtropical forest at these Himalayan altitudes, and chance sightings of bharal (blue sheep) and elusive snow leopards. This is a 14-day trek bookended by important Bhutan moments like a pilgrimage to Tiger’s Nest and, after such a long and enriching journey, a soothing dip in the Gasa Tsachum hot springs.
