Having a fancy meal in a restaurant with Michelin star is one of the mission I set for myself in Paris. I chose Benoit because it's near the apartment I stayed and many of my friends suggested me to give it a go. Benoit is a very traditional French restaurant operated since 1912, the whole restaurant is trimmed with traditional atmosphere and interior design. We chose the lunch menu which is comprised with appetizer, entrée and dessert. I especially suggest "Tranche de boudin noir rissolé aux deux pommes". It’s like black pudding made by pig’s blood that is crispy on the outside and smoothy but slightly greasy inside and garnished with two kinds of apple.(one grilled with sugarcoat and the other one uncooked) It was also served with mashed potato mixed with creamy butter as side dish. I have to say that this dish is divine, you can taste different layers of flavor. And the potato is as smooth as silk!! The cuisine in Benoit is generally simple but with the most authentic French gastronomy. We were treated like royalty and the experience in Benoit gave my trip in France a wonderful ending. This restaurant definitely deserve the star.
