Train des Pignes: Entrevaux
On the recommendation of a woman who sold me a pair of sunglasses at the mall in Nice, I took a ride on the scenic Train des Pignes that runs from Nice to Digne-les-Bains. Haute Provence back country. Heck yeah! It was slow going, but worth the long journey. I stopped off for a few hours to wander the quiet medieval streets of Entrevaux (about 90 minutes from Nice via the Train des Pignes) before catching the next train to Dignes. From Dignes back to Nice is about 3 hours, so for those without all day to spare, the trip to Entrevaux from nice is short, sweet, and so worth it. I didn't make the hike up to the citadel this time (not pictured here), but I'll be sure to on a return visit. Looked amazing!
